The
Client makes Nylon 66 resin.
The Client then converts
this resin into fiber.
Fiber is sold to weaving
companies, to make it into fabric.
The fabric is trimmed, and
then sold as rolls to customer who make air bags for automobiles.
There is scrap at the weaving
company from trims or rejected material.
This scrap is collected.
The air bag manufacturers
cut and sow the fabric in the process of making air bags that go
inside the airbag module.
During the cut and sow operation
there is scrap.
This scrap is only Nylon
66 fabric, or it is Nylon 66 fabric layered with paper, or it is
Nylon 66 fabric layered with polyethylene film. The scrap differs
based on the process used at the airbag manufacturer.
